It looks as if the exclusive iPhone retail model is collapsing around Apple’s ears and Vodafone is proving to be the beneficiary. The Apple iPhone is now to be sold by Vodafone in ten countries, some of them with an incumbent ‘exclusive’ retailer.
Samsung’s elegant-looking i640 has been launched to replace the i620, available through Vodafone from yesterday. No sooner has it hit the market and Samsung improves the connectivity of the device upping the speed from 1.8Mbps to 3.6.
After losing out to O2 in the battle for the Apple iPhone UK contrac Vodafone is now launching a mobile music service to rival iTunes that will give its UK customers unlimited access to a range of over a million music tracks.
