Casio announces Exilim 60 fps camera
Back in August at the 2007 IFA Casio demonstrated a revolutionary CMOS sensor capable of recording 60 frames per second which it had incorporated into a prototype of the Casio Exilim. Casio has now announced that the Exilim may now be available in March 2008 as long as certain technical glitches can be sorted out.

The specs for the Exilim camera are preliminary and so the actual retail product may vary but here they are:
- CMOS sensor of 6 megapíxel (effective).
- Lens focal length of 35-432 millimeters in a format equivalent of 35mm.
- Maximum sensitivity of 1600 ISO.
- Mechanical stabilization based on the movement of the sensor.
- Screen LCD of 2.8 inches and 232,000 píxels.
- 650 grams
- 127.5 x 79.5 x 130 millimeters.
- Electronic viewfinder with 200,000 píxels of resolution
As the Exilim is at such an early stage of development prices are not available.
