Sony Ericsson announces K770 Camera Phone
Sony Ericsson has released their latest smart-phone in with a heavy emphasis on photo-blogging! Here’s what they think is important about this new model:

- Just 14.5 mm thin
- Your camera always with you
- 3.2 megapixel camera with Photo fix
- Your memories shared
- Easy printing to A4 size and fast sharing over on-line picture gallery
Sony Ericsson’s press release put a lot of emphasis on the convenience of having a quality camera in your pocket all the time but 3.2 megapixel camera just aren’t that new any more so what has the k770 got that makes it stand out from the crowd? Here are the camera features of the K770:
- 3.2 megapixel camera
- Auto focus
- Digital zoom, 3x
- Active integrated lens cover
- Illuminated camera icons
- LED photo light
- Photo fix
- Picture blogging
- Video recording
- Video calling
- Picture messaging (MMS)
- Video viewing
- PictBridge
The only unusual features I can see in this list is Photo Fix and Picture Blogging so let’s try to dig a bit deeper:
Picture blogging is apparently the ability to take pictures with your phone, add some text as a post and send them to your blog. Unfortunately Blogger is currently the only supported blogging platform so if you use something more serious you’ll have to use another phone!
Photo Fix is Sony Ericsson’s proprietary in-phone photo editting software.
