Myvu allows you to watch movies on your iPod — without watching movies on your iPod
August 16th, 2007 by SteveMyvu is a binocular LCD headset system which takes the currently playing movie on your iPod and projects it as a ‘floating’ image right in front of your eyes.
Being a headset the Myvu is highly mobile and can be watched while on the move because the projection system does not leave you completely blind to your environment.
The Myvu comes with noise-cancelling ear-pieces and the volume and other parameters can be altered using the pendant control.
The myvu has a claimed six hours of battery life though that may be lower in p
ractice depending on ambient temperature and the control settings. The battery provided is rechargable and comes with an AC adapter and a 12-volt (car lighter) adapter.
