Not only does this latest TV screen from Sharp boast 52-inch and 65-inch dimensions, great image quality and clean design, it is also amazingly thin.
The overall width of this new models is barely 2.3cm (1 inch) and can either be free-standing or hung on a wall.
The image quality comes courtesy of a new backlighting system allowing a contrast ratio of more than 1,000,000 to 1 resulting in extremely dark shadows and vivid colours.
Sharp has collaborated with Pioneer to develop a system of thin speakers to fit into the slick profile of the Aquos XS1.
Thanks to a USB connection the Aquos XS1 can act as a photoframe when you’re not watching TV and can also play MP3s from you’re music collection through its speakers.
Since the launch of the first Aquos in 2001 Sharps has had the same objective in mind — the highest possible image quality and the greatest possible screen dimensions. The Aquos X1 continues this technical program which is, of course reflected in the price: Expect to pay $10,000 to $13,000 to hang one of these in your home!
