World of Warcraft — The Lich King cometh!

It seems that speculation of a new expansion of World of Warcraft was correct: Blizzard has officially unveiled Wrath of the Lich King, at its Blizzcon convention in Anaheim, California.

Here are the facts from the horses mouth:

Inscription profession
New character-customization options
Level limit of 80 with comensurat powers and talents
Necromantic Death Knight character class
Icy continent of Northrend, domain of the Lich King
Siege weapons which can destroy buildings
New dungeons

Unfortunately this round of upgrades does not include an improvement in Blizzards renowned graphics engine though the game design is as good as ever; screenshots below:
