Continuing from earlier coverage of Ninja Gaiden II we have more screenshots of the upcoming action game showing yet more of the diverse range of monsters and fiends available continuing the trend established in the original title including the most recently revealed monster type — Werewolves!
Surprisingly while the shape and motion of the werewolves seems realistic enough it seems that none of the traditional lore surrounding the beasts will be incorporated into the game. So no full moon required, no viral bite, no silver etc.
The werewolves are simply ‘Fiends’ to use the Ninja Gaiden term, humans who, according to the Ninja Wiki, have been turned into Werewolves by a cursing of their blood. They can be dismembered, including decapitation, as they are still humanoid.
Expect coverage and screenshots to increase as the release date approaches — this is going to be the next big action game this year now that DMC4 is out.
