Six new screenshots and video released for Fable 2 RPG
Lionhead is using the Game Developers’ Conference to release new images and videos of their upcoming title Fable 2 along with some juicy details on the game’s multi-player abilities. And what a sexy title it looks too — with a gorgeous 3D graphics engine, some interesting camera features and adaptive pet characters.
Fable 2 is an Xbox 360 RPG game currently in development prior to a planned Autumn 2008 release. Some innovative features released to date include the fact that decisions you make (good or evil) in the game have consequences further down the game path. You pet dog companion also adapts with your behavior: if you choose good actions he’s a nice affectionate lapdog but if you’re evil he turns into a rabid fanged monster dog!
Peter Molyneux has announced at GDC that Fable 2 will incorporate online Xbox Live co-op play. This allows players to jump into a friend’s game and help them. There is no level restriction so you can have a level 50 player helping out a level 5 friend and the players can even negotiate the gold split as the treasure takings mount up. Guest players receive full experience points for their actions in a friend’s game and this is transfered to your own game when you leave.
