Asus launches surprise look for new EcoBook

Images for the Asus EcoBook surfaced in March of this year but sightings of production versions of the wooden laptop show that it has been manufactured to a different design. This machine has much greater emphasis on the bamboo wood which now surrounds the touchpad and of course covers the whole of the lid.

Asus says that this is only a prototype and that the design could change again before the official launch preview for 2008.

The real machine will be based on the Intel Pair 2. Any other specs released will be updated here as they come in.
