Playstation Portables (PSPs) get phone software

PlayStation owners will soon be able to make telephone calls from their hand held game consoles Sony said today. The new software will allow PSP users to call landlines, mobiles and otherPSPs. By implications I suspect calls to PC VOIP software such as Skype will also be possible useing it’s Skypein feature.

Microsoft drops Xbox prices in Europe — but not enough!

Stealing a march on rival Sony and following its US pricing, Microsoft has announced that it will cut the European price of its Xbox 360 game console by €50 pricing the game system at €350 (£237, $471). It’s more expensive cousin, the Xbox 360 Elite will retail for €450 (£305, $607).
