Apple patent suggests the return of the scrollwheel (with light feedback)

Apple has filed a patent which indicates a new generation of iPods equipped with scrollwheels providing feedback using illumination of the wheel itself. The illustration accompanying the patent shows a scrollwheel of the familiar design which glows brighter the greater the scrolling input from the user’s finger.

Multi-touch trackpad for new generation MacBooks

Apple Movie Rentals: MacWorld keynote announcements

Time Capsule: Apple MacWorld keynote announcements

Steve Jobs chose to announce Time Capsule as the first of his tech announcements at MacWorld today. Time Capsule is an Airport Extreme -like product with an integrated hard disk which allows laptop users to make use of Time Machine, Apple’s proprietary backup solution, without the need of wires to connect to the backup volume.
