Touchscreen deal suggests new iPhone in Summer 2008
Economic Daily News, a Taiwanese publication, is claiming that local company Innolux will be providing touchscreens for Apple from the middle of 2008. If true the timing matches speculation for the launch of a new version of the iPhone.

It is expected that the new iPhone will incorporate 16GB of flash memory and a 3G capability if Apple has managed to overcome battery power usage problems which it blamed for not incorporating 3G from the start. This announcement will undoubtedly fuel speculation of an iTablet to be announced at next month’s MacWorld.
Innolux will also be providing TFT Led-Scherman touchscreens to Nokia and Samsung Electronics.
