Psystar OpenMac: Buy it before Apple Legal kills it!
Psystar’s OpenMac is, in fact, a PC tower fitted with components similar to the Mac Mini but which allows the Psystar to install OS X Leopard without patching by means of an EFI emulator.

There are bound to be problems. First there is the legal issue of breaking the OS X license agreement which clearly states:
“You agree not to install, use or run the Apple Software on any non-Apple-labeled computer, or to enable others to do so.”
Secondly, Apple could very easily break the Psystar setup in the next upgrade to OS X making this system a very short-term solution.
Anyway, if all you need is a modest Mac-compatible machine on which you’ll probably never be able to upgrade the OS here are the basic specs:
- Intel Core 2 Duo 2.2GHz processor
- 250GB hard drive
- 2GB RAM
- Price: $399

The machine functions like any OSx86 machine out there. Updating is easier through Pystar software. EULAs don’t hold in court cause its an agreement between you and manufacturer, and only serve to absolve them from any sort of legal liablity of their products including warranties and issues.
